Hi guys, this is the first time I am seeing my VFT traps sooo deep red. The typicals are even drooling. Note: this shine is not water. its nectar. Its sticky. I tried tasting it ...but it wasn't sweet. maybe....I didn't sample enough lol! the next pic is of my second typical whose trap I just love. Its soo nice and red with red cilia. The outside also has a marking of the trap on the other side....like a red line outside the trap. even the rona lansing dentate is colouring up well. BUTThe plants are still in shock. The typicals are finishing their semi made traps. SO I guess they are recovering. The red dragon is also finishing an old trap. The B52 is alas! it hasn't moved yet. A trap that was closed has opened...but nothing more I hope they can recover soon. cheers, vraev

Yes, they are greedy little fellers aren't they I can never tire of looking at a vft... Never ever! They truly are, absolutely beautiful creations. When ever I see well grown VFTs, I get such a buzz. ...and then I start drooling too. Yup, I'm a VFT addict. Thanks for sharing your healthy droolers with us.

What's the secret of the red colour, is it your lights?

I am seriously not sure. You guys know the lights I use....I just use daylight 6500K light. In my opinion, the light colour makes the difference. A fuller spectrum, giving more UV rays too..which might give some colour? I am not entirely sure. But distilled water, 6500K light is the only growth secret.
