Thanks for the comments! I wanted to take pictures of the winter rosettes for a while now. Its the first year that I succedded in having the tight rosettes in winter, thanks to the unheated room! I too, think that Pings are definatly cute with their neatly arranged leaves, in such beautifull kaleidescope-like patterns. I will take leaf pullings soon! Stay tuned for Ping trades this summer

BEAUTIFUL shots too Martin, the light/dark balance is perfect- and the plants are real fine too- I find it hard to avoid looking at my Ping winter buds every day myself, nice to see some other ones for a change

I used to be into cacti and succulents, now I have just a few. So I find it amazing that the Mexican Pings can be both succulents and "wet" plants. I don't know of any other plants that have two seasonal types of growth. Although there are lots of plants that just go dormant in one way or other.

Agreed, Lloyd, I think they're really interesting- SOMEONE on this site was telling me about how they're bored with Pings but I won't say who cos I like my arms and legs where they are I actually looked at my mexi-Pings a LOT more frequently once they went into winter mode, which I found kind of odd, but I do think it was the fact that it's a less a dormancy than a "Difference-y" that they go through, total transformation of the entire plants's habit- a REALLY cool Genus, I can't believe it took me so long to get into them!!
