Hi guys, check this out: BTW...the small pitchers are like 3.5 - 4 inches tall and see this new baby took around a month to open. I called my parents over to see this.. lol! they were shocked. I even forced them to get the camera and took this for ya guys. I am hoping the other pitchers become this big...its like 8 inches. its amazing. DO u guys think its just becos its crossed the winter phase? I mean I never had the plant before winter and it might be that all the pitchers on it before were winter pitchers. But I am happy...my foil enclousure seems to serve it well. cheers, varun

Good on you Vraev. Very nice photos of a well grown ventrata. Very healthy and good colouring!
An easy to grow Nep that should be in everyone's collection.

Hey! 1 Neon 6 inches away from the plants is good for ~10 small/Med Neps! In my case! Cya

lol vinc! for me its one neon like 4 inches away for a single plant surrounded by foil that even sends light to the other side...thats why the pitchers are red even on the other side. I have seen a couple of leaves that are burnt,....yellow...but meh....its fine....its growing well. those are the leaves which are like IN the face of the neon so its expectable.

I'm glad to see that your nep is working out well for you. That's a very happy plant to say the least.
You are now going to experience a disease similar to what boat owners tend to catch - something called "twofootitis".
All I can say is start making plans -- and room!

lol! I don't get the "twofootitis" ....lol ..my plant is like a foot and a half and I have already caught a disease which is making me BUY another nep....lol! in fact any other nep (non ventricosa) .

I think Rick is talkin about how folks with boats keep wanting a boat that's "just two more feet" longer than their current one, until they own an aircraft carrier That plants looking really good Varun, you are doing a GREAT job making it nice and happy. it's very impressive!!!

oooh.....got it. never heard of that saying before but...yeah! exactly what I was thinking too loL! I was soo happy when it made this....I couldn't wait for it to open. The pitcher formed the basic size like 3 weeks ago...it took all this time to FINISH and open...but now that it did...its amazing. I can seriously hold it in my palms (as you have to hold other pitchers with your fingers ) and wow.....its impressive. The wonder of nature.
