Hi guys, I am sooo proud of the pics I took today. I took the time to look up my dad's camera's manual and came up with the right way to take CP pics. This first one is my personal favourite. It looks like it belongs in a CP book. I am serious....I am sooo happy about it. I think these are the best pics "I" have taken EVER!! I will upload other pics as I edit their sizes and compress them. So for now I present : 1) Pinguicula primuliflora2) Drosera DielsianaFlowering one: 3) Utricularia calcifyda4) Dionaea Muscipula <Typical> Splitting!! <Red Dragon> 5) Drosera capensis6) Sphagnum cristatum7) Lakebadgerup Gemnae8) Nepenthes ventratanew pitchers (YAY!!!) 9) Dionaea Muscipula <Seedlings> 10) GRAND FINALE: The terrarium :: BTW: the B52 has a 2 inch trap !!! Enjoy!

Thank you guys! I finally learnt how to use macro and manual focus. The only problem is shaky hands...next time I will use a tripod ...but I have to wait till summer for that. Keep watching...I am updating post 1 nearly every minute. lol! btw yeah! the pics are from a Canon Powershot A95. Kinda old camera.....but does fine as long as the person taking it takes it fine. I guess now I finally learnt to use it properly. BTW guys...I would like to once again thank Insectivore, Curlingguy, Titom, Jay, Brad Ventura and everyone else here who has sent me seeds or seedlings and helped me with troubleshooting and so on. This terrarium wouldn't have been possible without the OCPS. BTW...notice the vermiculite in there?? I have perlite right? why vermiculite? Thats becos it is from the Nematodes...the Scanmask insecticide. I used it 3 days ago...plants are in no way affected...However, hopefully the bugs should be eliminated. cheers, vraev BTW let me post this here too....my practice shot with the things I bought at Michaels today A 10$ mag for my CP's....also has a nice foreceps...real sharp! I bought these small pots becos I thought they were real cute and that I can grow some VFT seedlings in them....however, as u can see I have no room in there...so I dropped the idea. I thought of using the dowels as some kind of sign posts.... . I also bought that nice treasure chest style box so that I can use it in the terrarium....however, space constraints are the issue here...AND...I don't know if this wood will rot and cause fungus ...so I am trying only a small pot...it also has a little drainage hole at the bottom....I put a strand of damp sphag...peat + perlite...and sphagnum moss.

Very nice pictures. By the way, I've started to post thumbnails as I've noticed that the pages can load really slowly sometimes.

How do I pollinate these things? The stamens are supposedly on the inside of the flower and the stamens and stigma mature at 2 diff times

Great pictures, I don't think you need a tripod but I've finally got something for trading. You shouldn't have to wait for summer, I have too much camera stuff and tripods taking up space so I'm willing to trade one for say shipping and maybe a dentate.. PM if interested. I feel guilty that I haven't had any plants to offer this site yet. My bog drops some seed but I'm trying to build the population!
