Heres what my current collection of plants is composed of, minus 2 dormant ones I have in the fridge and a few choice packets of seeds: Utricularia livida All my plants, from left to right, U. livida, B. liniflora (probably can't see it), U. longifolia

If you want some Loblaws VFT's, I can send some now as there in dormancy. I have tons of VFT seedlings I'm concentrating on. Other stuff in the spring. Good to see another Utric. lover.

Nice looking utricularia's there dude. Don't worry about having a small collection.....it will grow whether you want it or not ....as long as it gets the requirements of nice clean water and good light. Once my flytrap seeds grow bigger and handleable, I can a couple to you and all my buddies here. Apart from that I am as well literally waiting for any extra plants to pop up. You are also welcome to a drosera capensis if you want that cockroach

I really like your Utricularia livida and seem to be all a small happy family.

It's interesting to note that I had never even heard of xtokaiensis before this discussion on ocps. So I did a google search and learned that it's the new name for Drosera spatulata "Kansai". I think this is a good idea as there was a lot of confusion in the past on Kansai and regular form and D. spatulata var. gympiensis.

Hey Flytrap! I think that they are 2 diff. Species... I have seedlings of both and they don't grow as fast and don't look the same as seedlings. There in the EXACT same condition in the same dome side by side... Can't take pics tho because my camera can't focus on them there too small! Cya

Thanks for all the replies (and the kind offers ). I'll probably save the extra space I have until spring where I can order some neps. Mabudon- I have their seeds, just can't get the soil into the pots yet.Its something I have to do outside so I'll wait till spring . If the D x tokaiensis thing originated from Mabudon, and if his plants originated from me back when I kept a lot more cps, then there is a good chance that all the D x tokaiensis are D. spatulata "Kansai" because I remember I sent Mabudon "Kansai" seeds. I don't know how they became tokaiensis (unless I made up the name while sending those seeds, lol), but I think we had a conversation about it and I said they were the same thing due to some ICPS article .

I had chance when I started my collection! Insectivore was here to help my and to give me seeds like d. capensis and d. spatulata. He never ask himself if he must give me new seeds, he do it.. . But I had chance to go to the "rendez-vous horticole de montréal" when I bought sundews. If theres anything you want, ask it Z!
