Very nice plants. I'm impressed your longifolia is flowering, mine never does. Did I send that calcyfida to you? By the way, if you ever repot your genlisea, maybe you could send me a few stolons, I killed mine off this year.

Yep, it's your calycifida.
For the genlisea, don't worry, I have the double of plants than what you see on the pic.

Great pics, congratulation for having the U. longifolia flower: I've heard longifolia were quite hard to get flowering. By curiosity, how did you grow it? Did you change temperature? humidity or photoperiod in order to induce flowering?
Also, nice heliamphora collection.
All the best Math

For the longifolia: put them in pure peat moss (they grow like crazy in that), 2 months at 14 Celsius, after you give them heat (about 25 Celsius) and they'll make flowers (I have like 6 longifolia flower in my terrarium).
It's my first time for longifolia flower, so I think the temperature is the key to get flower.

Praelonga only made 1 cleistogamous flower.

You mean the milled peat moss, the powdery stuff? I once tried to grow them in long-fibred sphagnum and they died. Now I just leave them in the gravel in my nep. terrarium where they thrive but never flower. Probably it's because the temperature is fairly stable.

Hey guys! Mabudon is sending me some U.Longifolia and I don't have any Peatmoss all I got is Sphagnum Moss but I could mix it with sand and perlite... What do you guys think? Thanks ahead! Cya P.S. I got U.Livida growing well in it and i'm also getting U.prehensilus and U.Sandersonii. Let me know if they take any special soil!

I grow them in plain ol peat/sand, man, so I wouldn't sweat it, I imagine sand mixed with some chopped up sphagnum should go alright for now Supposedly they will grow in a lot of different media, none of the three are particularly difficult (tho only U.sandersonii flowers freely, for me, the others, U.longifolia seems to flower regularly, and U prehensilus doesn't do ANYTHING so I'll have to mix it up for that one and see what works better) Nice plants Dom, really fine shots of them too as others have mentioned, thanks for posting these, I don't think we even had a pic of Genlisea anywheres in here just yet (unless one of Lloyds tray featured it and I just didn't see it)
