Pings are something I'm quite new at, I only have one in my collection, a sethos, and it was an accident! however, this thing perservears, and I'm not so sure fish food is too right for it, when I dropped some powder on it's leaves, not too much happend, I didn't see any liquid around it, the food didn't really seam to get wet to be honest! I veugly remember someone talking about feeding them milk, anyone heard about this or how to go about it? Sib

I think milk is best kept for nepenthes but I believe that you may have heard talk about powdered milk which i believe you just sprinkle onto a couple of leaves. I feed mine ground up freeze-dried bloodworms. Grind it into a powder and sprinkle liberally onto the leaves.

I have that too, so I can use it aswell. Do you notice anything to denote them using it? or just see improved growth? Sib

Other than actually seeing brown speckles I have had no ill affects. My pings all are growing quite rapidly since there last feeding. I generally sprinkle each new leaf it produces (usually about 2 per week). The only other changes seems to be in colouration. They are "pinking" up a fair bit.

I used to have a plastic container of rotting fruit staged near my sundews and butterworts. This attracted the fruitflies and a tap on the container sent the critters in flight, many landing on dew and grease!

I captured an entire colony of little black ants on the move today in my garden. My CP's including Pings are now liberally covered with or full of ants. I like the carpenter ants for the big Sarr's. Luckily we have a fence so nobody could see me picking up ants. Does anybody grow the wingless fruit flies? I'm thinking of buying some cultures.

About bloodworms, I have a question for you: do you see the digestion 'occuring' when you put some of dried or rehydrated bloodworms on Pings leaves? On my side, no drooling, nothing... perhaps my plants are too close from dormancy...

I tried some freeze dried bloodworms on my plants a few days ago. I wetted them with a drop of water on the pings. So far they're just moist, no obvious build up of liquid.

My pings definitely "digest" shredded Betta Pellets- I was kind of surprised that this would be the case, inanimate as they are, but it seems the "taste" is all they need to get them in the mood. It doesn't work every time, but usually they kinda curl up and "eat", after which follows a CRAZY growth spurt
