it does look like a bonsai ceph pitcher
in The savage Garden, it talks about a couple other types of leaves that can be found sometimes growing on cephs said 2 be hmmm non carnivourous and probobly just ....
hold up
quote from The Savage Garden "Occasionally third and even fourth kinds of leaves may form, perhaps representing primitive leaves. Some may appear as hollow cups with forked edges, or similar to the foliage leaf but with unusual projectiles emerging form them."
sad 2 say but im goin 2 say it, i have lost my ceph but the ceph was obviously grown in wrong temps during this winter, but during this time many pitchers turned orange just as they were about 2 open as some may have noticed in past picks but also there was once a "pitcher" which definitely did not grow right and after looking closer it looked very similar 2 say pacman OR even better the chain chomps off super mario, which i believe could have been the primitive pitcher
but jeeze louis curling guy i wish i had your touch with these things, i could learn alot from you bud its very unhearting 2 be torching such a beautiful plant, im struggling with my indoor setup mostly light levels i believe anyways good greens bud

Sawchuk, is there anything left of the plant? Any leaves, roots or stems to try as cuttings?

well there is still leaves n a fairly good root system form what i could tell, and a good corm?? if they should have one at all so it isent lost and its not dead BUT it sure does look sick and it hasent shown any growth for a long time now only problems and rot, all leaves grown indoors have rotted and are gone BUT the three leaves grown outdoors last autumn are still green but do appear to be begining 2 rot aswell
im sure its from my super low light level in my setup, and also the exteme high in temp set for the bical i have growing in the upper portion of the three teir canadaian tire setup, im actually looking in 2 new lights for it now but im thinkin outdoors this year since that lights free anyways
im havent successfully stated any seeds, or rooted any cuttings from any plant since iv started this hobby which really isent long but i just feel cursed or somethin, ill post some pics in another thread any maybe someone could tell me what should be done

Try taking all the ceph material, clean it gently in distilled water. Take the healthy looking bits and use them as cuttings. Lots of light, temp. 18-25C, humid, moist and time.

sorry to hear about that sawchuck. As lloyd said...try salvaging some healthy parts from the ceph. Cephs can come back from death as I found out a 6 months ago.

just a deformed leave they do that from time to time , i found it happens most in really vigorously grown plants compared to the plants grown ay a snails pace , i have cephs placed all around the house to see, what are prime growning conditions for them
