Hi, I found these bugs in one of my vft cutting containers, and I think they are springtails but I would like to find out for sure before they take over if they aren't springtails. All help is appreciated

Thanks. I thought that's what they could be, I don't know where they came from and I wanted to make sure it wasn't something other than a springtail that would infest my grows pace. Thank you

There's a test you can do get one or a few in a container and pore water they should float and try jumping out. I'm sure they are and it's a cool little experiment

What kind of springtail would you say these Are? And there are also tiny little white ones in there that are a fraction of the size of those. I feel like they could be tropical white ones but they are way to small for my phone camera. I might have to float them to get a decent picture. Thought?

If you've found them outdoors, they would be temperate.

No I planted vft cuttings indoors and the peat moss was never outside, and they just appeared there. I don't know how they got there

I put one in the water and it floated and jumped around. So I took two of these small guys and putted them in my D. Capensis seedlings pot. That way they could step on a leaf lol 😄
