I got a sundew rotundifloria from carnivorousplantstore.com, and it died in a week, they are sending me a new one, does anyone know what was wrong so I can keep the new one alive? I put it in full sunlight in half peat half sand.

Plants do not enjoy sudden changes. Did you give it a hardening period after shipping?

What about your water? do you know if your water has a high TDS? I dont know how to kill a drosera within a week under the conditions you said unless it was not acclimated nicely. Since you are getting another one start with a slightly shaded area first then slowly bring it to full sun (if that was why it died suddenly)
also how did it die? Did the leaves turn brown right away or did some areas 'burn' or did the growth point die?

Type of sand? Pure water? Humidity in summer should be fine. Bright, no direct sun. Less than 25°C.
