Hi All, A while back, I purchased a specimen of D. schizandra from Cook's Carnivores. They sent me a doozy - nearly full grown. I must had had it in too much light, as it grew for a couple of months very well and then died back from the center of the rosette. There were several of us who were sad at the loss of "Schizzy" When I pulled the plant from the sphagnum, I noticed two thick roots that seemed to still be hanging on to life, so I repotted them into the same sphagnum, but horizontally just under the surface. To my delight, we now have "Spawn of Schizzy" (might make a cool Hallowe'en movie title). I got five plantlets sprout from the roots. I have since separated them, placing two in my adelae tank that is a bit more "shaded" than where the other three are now. I'm leaving the remaining three where they are right now, as they do seem to be happy. The ones in the tank are too. I thought I'd post a pic here... it should make Mabudon very happy: Please remember that I suck at photography and the lighting makes the colours look more flushed than they really are. >>> Rick <<<

Ahhh, yes, they are looking pretty sweet- only a couple weeks before I see one "in person" and I can't wait, so glad the story turned out like this after the initial shock- the initial "he's DEAD Jim" post was almost to much to bear
