Although I don't have any plants just yet I was checking out some Black Friday sales and Big Al's in Ontario has these terrariums on sale. Anyone have any experience with them?

So I went and checked these out, a bit of misleading advertising if you ask me. They only sell the 3 largest sizes and of those the least expensive was $160, a little above my budget.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer. I checked the Kitchener store but if you're going anyway I'd be interested in what they have.

Just read this now D: I didn't end up going to Big Als while I was out. The roads and stores were a nightmare! Sorry!

No worries, I feel your pain. After my trip to 1 store on Friday I had fill of shopping for the weekend.

I am using one right now. It is my biggest tank. No complaints..the seams/seals are good. No leaks unlike my first exoterra. I like the clean sliding front and the grill in front. I picked mine up at big als last year for black friday too.

Thanks for taking the time to reply and thanks for the information. They definitely have some good features and I'm sure they are worth the price (on sale) but it was not in the budget this year. I'll be putting one on my wish list for next year and hopefully pick one up on sale.
I checked out your growing thread and your plants look spectacular.
For now I've picked up an aquarium to use while I get my collection started.

Just keep in mind... there may be variations on glass finish.. mine has this film like salt stain on it that I can't get out. So just keep an eye on the glass quality when u buy it.

I ended up getting a couple of Exo Terra terrariums off Kijiji, and the guy delivered them. An 18" cube and 12x12x18.

Oh, I was going to check out the Scarb store but checking out kijiji is way smarter! I'll have to keep an eye out on there as well as craigslist. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with them as well. 🙂

This was a bit of an impulse buy, I went to a garden centre looking for LFS and found this in the clearance corner. My wife said she thought my growing area was looking a bit ghetto and this would make it look better. It's hard to argue with that logic. Here it is on my deck undergoing a leak test, it's an Exo Terra 24x18x18

Best logic ever! Grow space looks ghetto, get a vivarium!
