I'm coming back to the hobby after some time away. I got rid of my plants when I moved into a condo which is around the time the Yahoo group went silent. I was reading some old ICPS newsletters on the weekend which rekindled my interest. It will be interesting to see what and how people are growing in my area. To give you an idea of how long ago I started, I used to buy VFT on sale at Woolco when they had $1.44 day.

...haha, welcome to the CPSC Dave, not familiar with the Yahoo group but if we are going back in time, I remember buying Flytraps at White Rose. Before the era of the Walmarts and Homedepots, which rendered all Woolcos and White Roses obsolete. Cheers!

But you're right once the US big box stores moved in it faded away pretty quickly. Like a lot of good garden centers.
