I was curious to know if anyone grows any low light beginner aquatic plants for a tropical fish aquarium?
I currently have a trident java fern, giant hygro and crypt undulata.
Thanks

Anubias, Crypts, Java narrow leaf, Buces (not really low light but they're happy and flowering)

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Just upgraded the lighting on my aquarium. Need to do some more research but I am definitely liking the Anubias and crypts.

That's is a nice looking tank. I wish mine would stay that clean, but my room is to warm and it gets algae really fast. I am sure your fish are super happy good luck finding the plants you like

Thanks I'm cheating a bit. I have two filters running and the shrimp/pleco help with the rest. I think algae growth is more related to light than heat. I noticed the lower the light level the more brown algae I had. I've read the higher the light the more green algae. I'm anticipating with my new lighting I'll get a bloom shortly. My tank is 80.5f and my apartment is somewhat warm. Haven't had that affect it much. I'm thinking an anubias nana (or some small crypt) to replace the fake plant beside the shell will complete the tank.

Haha lol It is not just heat, my room has 4 big windows and i have a hard time keeping natural sunlight and warm light away from it so it keeps getting that brown algae all over the glass. I think it's called blackbeard algae. Good luck

That would definitely do it. If you have live plants in your tank, I've heard seachem flourish excel can help with the algae.
