I see similar growth patterns amongst several orchid species and hybrids I grow under artificial lights, especially if they are in the midst of a growth spurt.
This is also considered by some to be an indication of inadequate light.
With orchids this to be a 'primarily a 'cosmetic' issue that will resolve itself over time.
Sometimes moving plants around from central to peripheral locations where they get more ambiant (as opposed to overhead) light will help.
