Dear Carnivorous plant lovers,
This letter is addressed to you because you are either an editor of a carnivorous plant newsletter/journal or a known contact within a CP society.
This letter aims asks for your help in achieving two goals.
1. Solve a problem many societies have, to have enough articles to fill their newsletters.
2. The need for members to join more societies and read many newsletters for a few very important articles.
What is the idea?
Every now and then a society has an article that is really very good and of interest to many CP lovers.
A good example is the Pinguicula ramosa article that got shared around recently. Many societies printed it or made a translation.
These are the kind of articles we would like to share around some more and in a more structures way.
So, here is the idea.
· You register for this project by sending a mail to cparticleshare@gmail.com.
· He produces a mailing list (probably a group mail) for all participants.
· You send in your newsletters in pdf format.
· The members of this editorial group read the newsletters and if they see an article they want they contact you for a word version to publish (or first translate and then publish).
The conditions are simple:
· Unless there is a specific condition set by the author(s), all articles can be printed. If there are special conditions those will be talked about to see what is possible.
· Each article will have an opening text stating that this article was previously printed in NAME JOURNAL AND SOCIETY IF NOT THE SAME, EDITION, YEAR OF PUBLICATION.
· If a translation is made: also the name of the translator and a disclaimer about any possible errors in translation.
