Hello Everyone, My interest in carnivorous plants was sparked by Brad's Greenhouse YouTube channel, I'm sure everyone here knows him. I live close to a big Dutch garden centre called Vandermeer Nursery, they're open year round and carry carnivorous plants in fall and winter. They also have a workshop on CPs once or twice a year. I haven't paid much attention in the past but will now! Thanks to Karin, I now have many tiny Drosera (two types) and a Ping not to menion 17 new African Violets! I've been trying to grow sphagnum moss but I won't call it successful yet as one batch bleached out under LED lights, another batch is still green near a window. I'm a dog walker now after many years bouncing around in construction, finance, computer science and animation. I enjoy knitting, crochet amigurumi, sewing and gardening.

Thank you Willy & danyoh and thank you so much Willy, for your generous offer! Forgot to mention that we used to have a freshwater planted aquarium several years ago. We tore it down when I caught the saltwater bug. I still miss our planted tank, I have a real affinity for fish, they're such characters (to me).

saltwater bug? What's that? I keep fish too! If you still have the tank I bet you can make an awesome terrarium for plants. Willy

We had a custom tank made for a shallow reef. We eventually got an LED fixture and my Dad made the stand. Here's a video we made for a competition: youtu.be/BwxYt79npAQ. Unfortunately we don't have that tank anymore either, we didn't have a generator and if the power ever went out for more than 6 hours, it would be a very expensive loss! Plus you can't just leave it and go on vacation.

Yup, the corals are expensive, the fish are expensive, the nutrients, it goes on and on! I don't have any empty tanks at the moment but there is a guy advertising on Kijiji who has a ton of tanks, I want to grab one!

I really like your tanks' setup, they are so much better looking than mine. (I just put whatever works in mine haha) With your skills of landscaping your terrarium (if that's what you're going to do with the next tank) will be awesome as well

Does anyone do that?
