Hi amanitovirosa - I couldn't open the link. I'm dying to learn of the efficiency though!!! Might be something at my end. That happens a lot. Like my type-o rate. As for the plans - Wow! I like it! I'm totally going to build a crappy version of this in the spring. Anything that helps make rinsing sand, and mixing my 1:1 sand:peat mix easier is going to save my back. Thanks!!!

...sorry to hear about the link AP. There's a bunch of pics in there, maybe that's why. Might help you though when you're diggin' for tubers. Is anyone else having problems with the link?, it opens for me.

...thanks Willy, ok, never mind the link. A pot with a removable bottom, here is the demonstration: 1 - Make a hole in the new pot with the form, which also acts as the pushout tool. You can offset the hole and then turn the plant so it will always be centred. 20150804_182250 (1280x960) by Gabriel Pona, on Flickr 2 - Take the form out. 20150804_182330 (1280x960) by Gabriel Pona, on Flickr 3 - Push the plant to be repotted out of the pot through the hole in the bottom. 20150804_182456 (1280x960) by Gabriel Pona, on Flickr 4 - Place the bare plant on a ribbon and crane it into the new pot. Remember to remove the false, removable bottom. 20150804_182610 (1280x960) by Gabriel Pona, on Flickr 5 - Now, gently slide the ribbon out. 20150804_182644 (1280x960) by Gabriel Pona, on Flickr 6 - A perfect repot every time, the plant doesn't even know it's been repotted. 20150804_182702 (1280x960) by Gabriel Pona, on Flickr ...I've done this hundreds of times now and I have it in three pot sizes, it works excellent. Minimal root disturbance at worst, just a good way to remove a plant from a pot. It doesn't matter what you're doing with it, repotting, dividing, looking for tubers , whatever. No more digging into pots, destroying pots etc., and some pitcher plants don't like being turned upside down. Thanks for looking and Happy Growing! AV.

Excellent craftsmanship and cultivation methods as usual Gabriel! I still have to say that the most essential piece of equipment for mixing substrate is a good filtration mask, lol.

That's a great & economical way of re-potting.
I have been going with the pots made of coir or peat which come in various sizes. They are excellent when you want to repot. When the plant needs more root-space, you just stick them in a bigger pot and the roots grow right through the coir or peat.
Surprisingly these compostable pots last quite a while on their own. I am trying them for succulents too as the pots breathe and the soil does not stay wet.

Hi Ama - I have no words. Just wow! At what point do you have to register as a CP propagation factory?! Honestly though, I am truly impressed. You always seem to invent ways to make the seemingly unattainable tasks you set out for yourself, completely doable. You are like a one man industrial revolution!

...haha, thanks AP but no revolution here. Remember wise man say "Spend money on plants, not pots" (notice dollar store coffee cups)? He also say "Necessity is the mother of invention". He also say "Man is the dream of the dolphin", no wait, he didn't say that, that was someone else, haha. Build yourself that mixer cradle, you'll wonder how you ever went without it. Cheers.

Hi AV - Of course I ave no say in the matter, but it makes sense to me! I'd have voted for it to be a sticky.
