Hello all!
I am a grade 4 teacher passionate about a lot of things including carnivorous plants! I teach in a francophone school and French is my first language.
In my school we all have a subject in which we want to go deeper (Learning In Depth). I chose carnivorous plants!
I have grown plants from seeds (droseras and sarracenias) in the past but gave them away before moving.
I am looking to meet locals, meet wild plants, learn and get excited!
I would also really appreciate to start a small collection of indoor plants in my class for all to enjoy.
Thanks to all for reading.
Nathanaël
PS: the friendliness, positiveness and gentle responses of the threads I read made me want to join... Good work everyone!

Welcome Nathanaël. We have several excellent growers here on Southern Vancouver Island. I realize more and more everyday that people new to appreciating and growing Carnivorous Plants keeps all growers young and enthused in spirit

Welcome to the forum! I just planted hundreds of D. capensis and D. capensis alba for my wife's grade one class here in Victoria. I presently have them at home under lights until they get going. You are welcome to some for the kids if you are interested. I also have lots of Mimosa pudica seeds as well. They are great classroom windowsill plants that really intrigue the kids.

Welcome to the forum Nathanaël.
If kids are interested in a topic, they have no trouble at all lapping up the necessary information to succeed - and few topics interest children as much as the carnivorous plants family.
