So, I have really bad news. I've been gone on vacation for two months, and all of my precious neps dried up and died because I accidentally left the extra fan running that takes humidity and moisture out. I'm extremely discouraged at this point, and some of the neps I have no idea how I'm gonna get back. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do because that was many hours and a good amount of money worth....

We all hate to lose plants. It's much worse for those who are pushing the envelope on difficult (valuable) plants.
Sorry to hear about this.
Hopefully you will keep growing.
I'm sure people here will try and help.
We need to work on reliable, reasonably priced automation possibly with connectivity.

Sorry to hear about that Edward. I was just scrolling through your pictures, and everything looked amazing, especially the N. platychila.
Don't feel too discouraged from this, we all have our share of losses.

Sorry to hear that Edward. It happens to the best of us. I don't have all the things you were growing but I do have a few things I can give you to keep you going. Give me a shout and I'll hook you up.

Hey Ed,
Sorry to hear this. It can definitely be discouraging working with these plants, a little slip up here and there often results in dead plants. Most growers have lost a few along the way. If you're interested, PM me your address and I'll send you out some plants.

Thanks so much you guys. I really appreciate this. I will work very hard to get my nep collection back up and running because they are my favourite plants. You are a really great community to be a part of.

Hey guys, a quick little update. Still working on reclaiming my collection, however I've been busy with school over the past week. This weekend I will clean the plant room and decide what needs upgrading and how to improve on the grow space. Lucky for me, I found a Nepenthes sanguinea at my local greenhouse and it will be the first nep i have since i lost my collection. I'm gonna try to collect as many neps/cps as I can before winter so that they can grow for me. Hope is not lost. Thanks for reading!

Good news! So, my friend keeps lizards, and they lost one of their lizards, so maybe not so good news. However, they had a spare exo terra tank lying around and they gave it to me for free! It's actually a decently sized tank. I've had it for a bit now, and I've started collecting neps again, this time some more rare highland Nepenthes. I can now collect highlanders because I can get a temp drop down to 14 C sometimes! The fan that I have running along with the fact that we keep our house cool at night makes this possible, along with the window that we leave open at night. I will make an updated grow list soon, with some really nice ones on it so stay tuned. Thanks to everyone who was so kind by sending me replacement plants, and thanks to everyone who offered me such amazing plants.
Edward

Your plants are protected by ADT - sweet collection and beautiful flowers I guess when you're posting your beautiful plants on a forum full of plant-crazy enthusiasts, it's best to let us know what's what. (re: ADT) But seriously, amazing plants Edward!
