Yup, easy to grow from seed. Silverhill has seeds every so often. I tossed seed onto a pot outside last year and they grew just fine treating them like the Sarracenia. They need to be fed to grow well. They also appreciate cooler temps.

They lived outside just like all the Sarracenia and went into the greenhouse for the winter like many of the Sarracenia. I also have several other species of South African Drosera growing the same way.
I wouldn't call any of the South African (and many Australian) Tropcial. They can all handle down to a couple degrees and most can handle frosts just fine.

I've also had good luck (with germination) with seeds from petar_kostov on eBay. He has the seeds listed each now and again, he also dates the seeds so you know how fresh they are.

I just germinated some seeds collected 3 years ago. Germination was pretty good. Of the two batches I think it was about 85% so far. Very easy to germinate. Just large enough now to start feeding. Seems to really like highland temps, like many South African Drosera.
My understanding is, based upon their fairly unique environment, Drosera regia seeds may be viable for a longer period of time than most Drosera. Then again, I know mine were stored in a fridge since collection.

Well I will see if my pack of seeds from Peter Kostov germinate well also.
The lack of germination will not reflect at all on Peter. The seeds were fresh when I purchased them last year.
It will reflect ONLY on myself as I rediscovered the seeds last week -a year after I moved and misplaced them.
I wiill let you all know the germination rate of 1 year old seeds stored at ambient conditions.
