My H. minor var pilosa plant is sending up a flower stalk. None of my other Heliamphora are in flower at the moment. Should I try to collect pollen? Am I (hypothetically) able to pollinate the same plants next flower stalk? Do they usually send up multiple flowers? Any info would be great! I'll do my own research as well.

Very nice ! Like i said, welcome to the flowering pilosa club ! Its a very rare event. 2016 is the pilosa spreading year! I will send a lot of divisions soon, from many different clones, everywhere in Canada and europe. Yes you should collect pollen and use it on the next flower(s). Pilosa seeds are gold nuggets. You can sell them at gold price. The information about flowering pilosa is inexistant on internet, you will only find the information i shared myself on many medias. We are pioneers in the domain Once again, congrats ! Pretty stunning picture too, thanks for sharing. Francois

Thanks Francois. You sure know how to make a plant grower feel special! Haha. I will certainly try to collect pollen. It's such a cool plant, it would be very interesting to see what traits Wistuba's pilosa x self would produce!

May I ask which lights you have these plants growing under? I imagine they're 2700k, since you're flowering? Are they sunblaster?

I grow all my plants under Sunblaster 6400k tubes. Helis are not photo plants. They dont need red spectrum and no need to put them under 12/12 to push flowers.
Insitu, their lighting cycle is very stable all year.
