Yesterday I got 6 byblis seeds in the mail. They were extra tiny I could have fit all 6 on the ball of a pen and probably a bunch more. Under a scope they look like vft or pitaya seeds but microscopic. They don't look like the byblis seeds I see online, so I am just going to soak them in a cold centrifuge and sow onto peat and hope for the best.

The Byblis seeds I have and have sown are small, maybe smaller than a poppy seed but not as small as a lot of dew seeds.

All 6 seeds were together, still smaller then a poppy seed lol

Mmmm, that's small. Mine are usually the size of a pen tip and are really round, they roll on a sheet of paper. Do as you wish but I had great success with the bleach method and would recommand it. I can't provide a link but you can check on youtube for the method, there's a few links showing the 'purple ink' washed from the seed.

These are too small, I honestly think they would dissolve in minutes.. they are about 1/10th the size of a poppy seed, literally needed a scope to make sure they were seeds and not dust. They also have a point at one end and a smooth possibly ridged shell, x100 scope and it was still difficult to tell the texture but it wasn't crinkled like other byblis. I mean I hope it's byblis but I highly doubt it's any more then just a sundew

I must still have byblis seeds somewhere, can't garantee the success but if your seeds don't work or are not byblis, send me a PM.

That would be very much appreciated, I'll be buying special humidity dome pots today to sow the seeds in, I'm soaking them longer then 24 hours hoping to leech any of the anti germination chemicals away.

Byblis do not need help with germination beyond the basics.

I've been reading they need to be bleached or exposed to smoke

The easy ones are well, easy. Which species do you think you have?

The seeds you describe are not Byblis liniflora which does not need special treatment to germinate.
