Hey Everyone!
There seems to be many members that use their social media for share their plant, myself included! I thought that a central place for members to share their info would be help people find each other. I know that many people also like to keep their social media private so feel to share as much or as little as you would like.
If people want I can also add people's usernames along with their shared social media to the OP, the same way the members location is setup.
Free free to post users names or just links to your Instagram, Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, Pinterest etc.
I don't use much but I do post on my Instagram fairly often, username is captainplantman

Followed you on IG H2O. Nice moths! I use my Instagram mostly for plants, bugs, and (occasionally) food: instagram.com/ineptphotog/And I have a public FB page for my photography work: www.facebook.com/gabriellevacphotography (it's more animal-centric, but I'm working on a photo project with my plants right now, so it may be going that direction for a while) You can also find my actual Facebook page under "Gabriel Levac", if interested. Probably should shoot me a message along with a friend request so I know who you are... But the content there doesn't vary too much from the previous two.

I just wanted to give this thread a bump. It was brought to my attention that one of our old member has been saying negative things about the forum on Facebook, there is nothing we can do about this other then to continue being as easy going and giving as ever. I've avoided making a Facebook page for the CPSC up until now but I do worry someone might try to take the name without our knowing. So I've made a Facebook group dedicated to our forum. I encourage all of our members to join and share as much as possible and hopefully we can get new members that wouldn't normally be exposed to our forum. www.facebook.com/groups/959208427511034/To try to spread the group as much as possible I will be doing some free draws of uncommon plants and seed. As always any suggestions are welcome!

Yep very unfortunate. I was in a group a couple weeks ago and tried to defend but got blocked from their group

Yeah unfortunately a few of us have come to CPSC's defense, and have even tried to talk some sense into him. He already has his mind made up, and there's no convincing him. All we can do is prove him wrong... which shouldn't be hard, as we're awesome.

Hi H2O - Sorry to hear about whoever is talking smack. I completely understand your motivation to claim the Facebook domain for this group. It's a smart move. Still, I must admit I fear what happened to the ICPS forum happening here. For those that don't know, the ICPS forum was a vibrant place for people across the word to interact and talk about carnivorous plants - much like this forum is. Then a Facebook page was opened for them. Slowly, activity shifted to the Facebook site, until now, where the ICPS forum is a ghost town. New folks introduce themselves to a crowd of no one. One valiant kid from Colorado still posts occasionally, as if he is holding a lonely vigil in hopes of the return of visitors. If there were tumbleweeds on the internet, they'd be blowing through that site. Admittedly, there were differences between there and here. That site was far too lightly moderated, and when a few "eager" gremmies jumped on with no one to reign them in, the experienced visitors dropped precipitously. Plus, unlike here, with the liability involved and the ICPS being dedicated to "international" relations, they had no platform for selling, or trades, or giveaways. But having watched one forum blink out of existence, while enjoying this one flourishing, I admit to fearing the Facebook site being the beginning of the end here. This is absolutely my favorite, and most visited site on the internet. I guess I just hope you all stick around.

...I agree with Lloyd. Facebook is very annoying. Too much irrelevant fluff that gets constantly posted there by everybody, constantly! I am convinced that some exist just to post crap on facebook. I never go on there and hope that people here don't shift to over there.

Yeah I'm also not sure I like the Facebook idea. I did join it just for the sake of joining but I'll definitely stay here.
