It's from the big guy's little brother. Same stock, I imagine. Both are from Bonfield. A 7" pot is more than enough for that little guy. I have the big one in a 6" pot, but the soil is mounded up about 3". The smaller one is in a big plastic beer cup. I've got a couple more propagating and will start some more cuttings or pullings to trade around. Like ng says, it seems to be a good clone. We should give it a name. Cole's Colossal or maybe Big Bonfield. This is a great video on ceph care and propagation: www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0VbYl2zGbQI have a suspicion that one of our forum members recently visited this guy.

Succulent succotash!
Let me know when they are ready i'd give a left ventricle for one of those babies. That clone has the vigor man! I do remember Bon saying that he was doing some divisions for the spring, may be the one geehee..
Yessar, just got back from his place in Oregon. One of the best guys you'll ever meet.

These came from Dave Phillips(Curlingguy), so I can't really take credit for introducing them to the Canadian market. I've just finished taking over 200 root cuttings of this strain, I'll let everyone know when I see the first strikes.

The leaf is a leaf. The furry things will become pitchers.

A flat leave is only for the photosynthesis. The pitcher is for hunting, for nutrients intake. Both are very differents. On this picture you can easily see both leaves forms. Untitled by dals009, on Flickr This clone make very big leaves all the time. Pretty special, but its another good example. Also on that picture you can see what a growing pitcher look like. Yes cephs do not like roots disturbing, but i think the worst stories was after a shipping.
I often make ceph divisions, cuttings etc and i never lost a plant. I even never seen a big setback, only a couple pitchers drying sometimes.

They seem pretty resilient to me also. I replanted every single clone that was brought back from my trip. Not a single one of the 12 skipped a beat.

On my Cephalots are the white hairy things at the end of the stems really going to be pitchers? If so, How long to they need to form the pitchers?
the green stems are now appearing to grow through the white hairy things now so am I close to getting pitchers?
