Really nice job P.
The purple stuff give it a nice look. I see you also have some pest problem... They are not easy to control.
Will you let everything outside for the winter ? If so, any insulation ?

Very nice Pascal. Reminds me of the bogs at the Jardin Botanique.
It's giving me the urge to try another bog. The old one got shaded out and now houses Cimicifuga and some Rodgersia. I've switched to pots for the CPs. But I'm too lazy to dig a patch about 8' x 8' down to about 3' deep and have nowhere to put all the soil. I'd prefer to do it in shallower sections, one at a time.
I see you've got a few that are just kiddie pool depth. Does everything overwinter OK in those? And like shoggoths asked, do you mulch the bogs in winter?

Thanks hal , the cimicifuga mudmst be happy in there! Some ligularia would like too. Getting rid of the dirt is the worst, i was lucky enough to use it to level the other side of the yard. The kids pool are fine but they dry fast. I only waterd them twice this year. This winter was particullary nasty here -40c in december and - 20c the rest of the year. At least we got tons of snow. I mulched it with geo textile and leaves on top+ 5 feet of snow. It worked well but with the leaves there was no breathing in there at all. I was scared of losing tons. I have an other bug at my brother and i did not protect it for 3 years, only snow and works well, even P. vulgaris comes back. Next winter, no protection.

Wish we would get snow cover over here on the west side ...i bought a bunch of temperate stuff this year soo this winter willbe my first over wintering. Ill have them in a large planter. Probably spray with sulfur based fungicide before covering with pine needles ... Have some time to figure it out so im not too worried about it atm
