I just got it from the media the roots were dark and 3 inches long! I did clean the media, I misted the media with the distilled water I had left then steamed the pot for 1 minute in the microwave its cooling in my window so I went and bought RO water It looks healthy below the soil , I will replant it once the soil cools and get it in a tray with a little water who knows I may have jumped the gun since this is my first pitcher plant and I do not know what to expect or what it looks like in that stage Once it gets in the steamed peat and watered aside from watering this plant does not exist lol !!!They were shipped from Niagara Falls and wrapped in a moist paper towel wrapped , in a Ziploc baggie in bubble wrap in a box for a week so it might be a late reaction to shipping and different media....time will tell lol ! BTW the roots looked fine so I did ot do a root cutting, I decided to give it time and take advice from others growing these

Did they mention how many pancakes it would take to shingle a 25,000ft2 roof?
And really, more importantly how much syrup would it take to hold the whole thing together.

... There are no bushmen pouring coffee grinds on Cephalotus in Albany are there? ... Most definitely not! However you may very possibly espy an aborigine inadvertently doing this dumping his billy (I reckon it'd most likely be tea though).

Actually I did see a documentary where Australian Aboriginal People did a ceremonial coffee grounds scattering on the sacred Cephalotus beds to propitiate the totemic spirit creatures. It's also a fertility rite.
