This critter is growing in some small red peat I'm attempting to cultivate. I'm thinking D. hamitonii or D. schizandra. I want to repot these. They seem to like live moss so I'll probably pop a plug of this in some LFS and top dress a pot of peat/sand..

Yes.
Could still be schiz, you'll know with time.

Greg,
Has this plant developed into anything yet? If it's growing in live sphagnum that I gave you it's either adelae or schizandra.

I have my bets on D.adelae.

It doesn't quite have pointy enough leaves for Adelae. Granted, it's still in that small tray in 1/4" of peat. It's small red from HB I am trying to propagate (without much luck...) I'll be re-potting it this weekend and with space it should grow fast. Seems a bit pale for Adelae as well and I really suspect it's schiz. I'll take another pic tomorrow.

When my adelae puts out small offshoots, they often look like what you have. For me, they don't develop their longer pointer leaves until the plant gets a bit bigger.

Here are some pics from this aft. It's growth habit is very similar to D. adelae but two differences remain: 1) the leaves on this plant are blunt. Even my juvenile D. adelae have sharper leaves. 2) this plant is paler than my D. adelae - fwiw, this is in a terrarium 10" under one small T5HO. My D. adelae grows in a south facing window. It gets minimal spillover from the 2 x T5HO about 5' away. The largest leaves are easily a toonie in diameter. Not much action from the moss but the 'dews seems happy. I'm repotting them to a proper, 8" tall pot in LFS/peat/silica.

They are getting pointier and pointer as the leaves mature. I'm going to have to jump on the adelae train. No Antho though, low light? or CRAZY AWESOME MUTATION .. i duuuuuuunnoh youuuuuuu tell me... nvrmind i see little red dots in the dew.

That's a D. adelae Check the photos of my baby schizandra around the mother plant in this thread. ocps.proboards.com/thread/4184/schizandra-photosThe leaves on baby schizandra are rounder and they have longer stalks than adelae. There are some adelae on the lower right right of the first photo for comparison. Has anyone got a healthy batch of that schizandra still growing? Mine fizzled out, and I'd love to trade to get a piece back. I have a few Swiss Chalet containers full of sphagnum and little dews but I think they're all adelae.

I agree with hal. I grow both adelae and schizandra, and that to me is definitely adelae. Under higher light, it might get sharper and red.

It may be something completely different. My adelae with a small side shoot for comparison: Same growth habit as its parent and with sharp leaves: The mystery 'dews this morning in their new home, a 4" x 8" pot - the roots were already 3"/4" long on the larger plant: Thanks for your help with this!
