Ever heard about this plant? www.bhut-pepper.comThe fruits are the hottest peppers in the world. Im waiting some seeds by mail. Anyone here had already tried growing hot peppers at home?

No not from seeds. They are always readily available as starter plants around here at local green houses

Aint they the ones that are so hot that you start hallucinating? I tried a hot sauce in St Louis made from them its called Devils spit a drop the size of a fingernail makes your eyes water and nose run and trust me it hurts in the bathroom lol !

I have been told not to pick these without proper hand and eye protection along with making sure you wash your hands prior to restroom visits

I love hot peppers, but those are too hot for me lol. They sell plants as well in Toronto, but peppers are very easy to grow from seed. I would expect 80% or more germination somewhere generally between one and two weeks. I find the challenge with indoor peppers is that it is easy to over water them

I will try to not overwater them. Maybe the bhut jolokia is too hot for me, i will see hehe What is the soil mix you use for your seeds?

For peppers I just use any potting soil, I find they do well in bigger pots. You can also fertilize occasionally.
They should be easy for you lol.
