Hello everyone.
I'm going to be ordering from BCP this spring and was wondering if anyone wanted to join. I will probably order around May or June. They have a wonderful selection of pretty much all CP's, and their bonus plant system is pretty cool too!
The cost of the phytosanitary certificate and CITES would be split evenly among participants. Should shipping be split evenly or according to what plants are ordered per person?
No minimum or maximum participants, anyone can join.

I'm in.
For the shipping, I would go with what is less problematic because if you start to do it with shipping, will you do it for phyto and Cites too ... seem complicate for what ... 5$ ?

Alright, maybe I'll just split the shipping evenly. The phyto costs $30, but I re-read BCP's business conditions and apparently the CITES is only needed for certain protected plants.

I'm interested in joining. Is the CITES export permit only required for the 5 species (N. khasiana, N. rajah, S. alabamensis, S. jonesii, S. oreophila) listed in BCP's business conditions?

Rorima, I believe you're correct about that, only those species are protected under CITES Appendix 1, and therefore the permit is only required for those. Devon, remind me to send you my growlist before you order so you don't spend money on something you can get from me (I get back in April, so I can start propagating and doing inventory then). I can't order anything this time, sadly, I think my mother would just about kill me if I buy any more plants for her to take care of XD.

Thanks for pulling this together and keep us posted.

For the phytosanitary, I'll probly keep it split evenly between everyone. If there are significant differences in the amount of plants people are ordering, I will divide the shipping cost accordingly. I'll have to ask one of my math-smart friends for help with that, haha.

I would be down if they have a good selection come spring.
I would also split the phyto, paperwork and shipping per plant, this way the people that order one plant only have to pay a little. I don't like when the phyto is split per person when one person orders 100 plants and another only orders 10 plants should the person with less pay less?
As a side note, anyone from is Island that wants to order could split Canadian shipping

Lets say each one of us have our own permits and ordered separately, all different amounts of plants, the phyto would cost the same for everyone. But for shipping, it varies with the amount/size of plants ordered. Unless I am mistaken and the phyto cost does vary depending on the amount of plants ordered, but I don't think it does. I'm glad so many people are interested! The last group order I did went well with the exception of a few pings that I think were replaced eventually. Hopefully this one goes just as well, if not better.

Either way, with enough people the paper work should be pretty low for everyone.

Thanks Shoggoths.
@h2o: Ah fixed cost was the word I was looking for. Phyto should be around $45.00 so hopefully nobody will have to pay more than $10.00 with the potential participants so far.
