Wow that cross sounds promising, this is awesome!
For how long did you grow these plants until maturity? I've had an H. pulchella Akopan Tepui for quite a few years now but growth as been barely decent in my less than ideal conditions up until now, I hope to make it grow a lot more under my lights this winter.
I also wonder, the water level in the pitcher is all natural or do you fill them from time to time when you fog/spray?
Great growing skills you got there, kudos!

For the pulchella akopan, i got the first flowers after 2 years of growing, but i bought my first plant already adult. I add water in the pitcher once a week, a couple drops. This help the plant for nutrients absorption by shaking the nitrogen 'soup'. And i never spray my heliamphoras. In the wild, they are often whipped by the rain but they get dry in a few minutes with the strong ventilation. In our closed terrarias/growing spaces, the ventilation is often slow or VERY wet, so, IMHO, its better to avoid any kind of misting. Fog systems are nice to see in action, but from my opinion they are useless, or they can damage the plants by promoting mold growth on the plant/soil. Sometimes, problems happen after many months so the grower will not suspect the problem came from misting. Hope that help

thanks for the info! I usually fill them with a few drops too, will make sure not to spray the plant all that much on the foliage though

It's amazing what people on this forum do with their plants. Truly we are the CPSC, the heavy metal of horticulture.
