RIP My last 3 dionaea and my last 2 sars. I will not grow these genus anymore Your S. purpurea venosa montana and VFTs from your growth experiment will live on in other collections. I split the purp and it's in the fridge, behind the baloney. VFTs, too. There are about 30 adult plants and two dozen babies. 30 ? Wow that impressive ! Like you said, my lil babies have been spread in many private collections, and i think its very cool. Thanks to all growers(including you of course) who now care of my plants. This make me feel much better!

Francois, were those plants from tissue culture? After a summer of growing outside, many of the plants had 4-5 growth points/bulbs.

No, matt from flytrapcare sent me free seeds to see how i can grow them. The challenge was from seeds to adult plant in less than a year. I germinate them the old way, on LFS. And after i treasure them for 10 months by hand feeding them each week. To tell the truth, i never tried invitro growing. Im a old style grower; soil, water and a lot of love :-P Here is the original challenge thread: www.terraforums.com/forums/showthread.php/134332-Unknow-dionaea-seeds-growing-challengeSorry, my english was very bad at that time. (I know, i know, its still bad) :-)
