I admire your cultivation skills. And I love how your entire terrarium is so vibrant and lush looking. . . You must sit and stare at it and the plants a lot.

Thanks! I keep having to trim the moss back, but I'm not complaining. Healthy moss generally means healthy plants. I was just out of town for over a week, so it's nice to know that I can leave for that amount of time without even having to think about my collection. That's a big plus for having things automated.

I don't know if I'd let them sit in water, although I've seen it done. It might work best in full sun. My Cephalotus have only recently taken off. I think I had been keeping them too dry before, so maybe you're onto something. Everything seems good for yours, although I don't think I use peat in my mix. I also separated mine this year, which seemed to prompt new growth.

Thanks Maiden, I also recently got Clone 2! So I'll be able to compare. Here's the latest pitcher starting to colour up:

very nice grow set up , to see the progress was great to see, thanks for sharing your growing experiences. with the ceph , in a tank dont keep the pot in water you will get problems , best to have it free draining and water as required you will get much better results, keep the pitchers at least 1/2 to 3/4 of water all times , ,keep the air flow up in the tank and good air movement will increase your growth rates.
looks great John

Glad to hear that your week off from the plants didn't effect them at all. Next time you just need to spend more time on the island
