Love the ping rock. Are those leaf pullings growing right on the rock?

Thanks hal. Yes, they are. I "transplanted" my original lava rock on to a larger piece, and took more pullings. Here's a larger shot to show how it looked before I took more pullings earlier today. I sprinkled a little bit of peat moss on the rock to prevent the young plants from drying out. It should look good in a year or two.

Love the Ping rock !! I started one similar a few years back on a piece of hypertufa and it did pretty well but I had to discontinue the project. I'm actually building a new Paludarium that will incorporate a similar idea and I've got a Bio Bubble with something similar as well. I would love it if my stuff ends up looking as good as yours but without the climate control you have I have mu doubts.
Regards

That is fantastic Avery. wow man. I have some lava rock in the garage which I should put to use like this. Unfortunately no light setup to put it under. DAMN! need a bigger growspace. lol
But great plants man. I only ever had success once getting chilean sphagnum to come back from the brick stuff. That is the major form I have in my tank. But it is mixed with varieties from hawaiian botanicals (local candian sphagnum) and keehns (new zealand sphagnum).

Thanks everyone. The Pinguicula tolerate my misting system, but I don't think it's ideal- I try to direct the sprayers away from them. Here's N. ventricosa:

Are these the infamously finicky AW clone(s)?

Hey guys!
Yes, these are the infamously finicky AW clones. Cool temperature is key. They grow with chilled air blowing directly at them 24-7. Lots of light. I really believe proper acclimation (which can take months) to harden them off is the tricky part. I'm not out of the woods yet, but I'm getting there. And yes Varun, there are 9 plants, should be terrific indeed! Wistuba is the MAN!

Thanks! I appreciate it, I would love to be able to grow ultra highlanders.
