Lee Moore was in both of these orchid books.
Moore had at least a couple of orchids named after him and he was also responsible for smuggling pre-columbia artifacts out of central and South America, and back into the states.

After it all I must say people really harp on Kovach a little too much, sure he made some bad choices but people act like he single handily raped every plant out of the wild. I'm not going to lie most of us would have a hard time saying no to having something so spectacular named after us. Plus before this event people didn't get in trouble for this kind of stuff, it wasn't until this crackdown that people really became worried about breaking plant laws.
Doug is right thought, Moore had so much stuff named after him, probably more then any other person on the industry during that time. Not sure how I feel about him but you can't deny the guy probably has some great stories!

I don't excuse them, they were like drug-pushers; but there would be no drug pushers without addicts who will do anything to fill their habit.
