Good question. My plant came from gran sabana. You actually have location data for this plant? Interesting. Here is the US, most everyone has Barry Rice's "Asenath Waite." Allegedly, the other three cultivars he named exist in cultivation somewhere, but I've only ever seen one of the others in a collection.

Yes mine came from brazil, up there in GS. I grow it in my highland tank, at the end of my tubes, because too much light will affect the leaves. My caly really thrive with cool nights

Amazing foliage! I have always had a soft spot for the good looking foliage - even in my orchid days. I loved Oncidium papilio not only for the flowers but the leaves as well. I'm a bit ignorant on Utricularia - but is this foliage unique within Utrics? Or is it more widespread (related species, within a specific geographic region, etc).

Mine was doing allright, so I finally decided to share portions of it and re-pot it. After the re-pot, everything went downhill and they kind of sulked for a while and died. I was growing it highland but I think the problem is, I was using a medium of peat:perlite. What do you guys use for the growing medium?
Also Maiden, I would be interested to try some more seeds if you ever have some available. I'm determined to grow beautiful and lush plants like you and cory lol.

I have two pots One is peat/perlite and the other is pure lfs.
Both are the same size. These grow much faster and much larger in LL conditions with low light levels

I have the cultivar 'Asenath Waite'. I have a few plants in highland conditions and a few in lowland conditions. For the first year I had it, I had it in intermediate conditions and it went crazy. Then, suddenly, it nearly died out. So, I separated it out and have a few in each location now. None are doing as well as it used to do. I'm not sure why the change.
In any case, I'm not sure mine produces seed. Or, at least, I haven't seen plantlets sprout up in other pots. If any of you do get seeds, I would be interested in picking some up. I'd love to compare your variety with the one that I have.
