Very, very nice dvg! Whats the size of the flower? Thanks Andrew. I know the flower looks wider than it is long, but that's just the camera angle. When I measured across the petals, it measured out at 1-5/8" across by 1-3/4" long. Even my wife, who is used to seeing P. moranensis flowers, commented on how large this flower was, compared to the plant's size. My colimensis's are just going into succulent phase. Mine have been there for quite some time, with the exception of this one. Have yours flowered for you yet Lloyd? I second, really nice ping. Also, what is the pot size ? Thanks Shoggs, that's a 4" pot. dvg

Must. get. self. P colimensis.!
DVG - That plant is amazing! Over the last few months you have sold me on this species. Nice orderly winter, succulent rosette. Huge, gaudy, neon flowers. Abnormally large mucusy tentacles, that can apparently capture fairly large prey for a ping. Your photographs alone make me think this could end up being one of my favorite ping species.

I haven't had mine long and they haven't flowered yet. I didn't think the ones I had sent you had flowered yet, since they were still quite small, but was wondering if your previous P. colimensis had flowered for you. The reason I ask is because this is the first time I have seen this plant flower for me in my collection and I was wondering if it has to attain a "critical mass" of sorts, either in size or maturity. Must. get. Thanks Apoplast, you have described this species very nicely. And when you do add it to your collection and it does flower, you'll undoubtedly be very pleased with this particular mexi-ping. An exceptional specimen you have there Doug. You have captured very well the unique features of this interesting ping! Thanks for shairng. Thanks Rob! dvg
