I was looking around for a small inexpensive greenhouse that could fit in my room but I can't seem to find any good ones.

I like the plastic domes that have adjustable air vents in the top. I buy them from a hydroponics store in Toronto. Also I have two 15 gallon aquariums that are available for pick up from my house in Toronto (price very reasonable-TBA).

I agree with Lloyd. Ive used them before and they work great. Buy yourself a nice little metal rack (Home depot, Costco, Rona etc) and use aquariums or plastic seedling domes. parkseed.com/images/xxl/96038.jpg

with the aquarium would a 30 gallon work or would it be to hard to retain humidity because of the large opening at the top.

I usually get a piece of glass cut at Speedy Glass to fit on the lip of the aquarium. I like to leave a 1" gap at the front for air circulation. Usually costs under $20 for 3mm glass.

PVC pipe with clear sheet plastic can be used to make a greenhouse of practically any size.
