Got a small harvest from my jalapeno plant this weekend. it's not much but it's the first time I've grown anything edible so I'm pretty happy I think I waited a little too long to harvest, the bigger ones are not at all spicy but the little ones are pretty hot. Looking forward to some more exciting varieties next year!

Here are my Aji lemons, note the red one and the immature green ones. HOT! The red ones even burn your skin when you are cutting them. Some tomatoes from the deck, also. There are dozens more ripening on the bushes. Mostly yellows with a few reds.

I took some of my Aji Tuna peppers to some co-workers from Jamaica. They gave me a recipe for homemade hot sauce:
1 peeled and seeded green mango (squished). Garlic (squished) (I used two BIG cloves). Salt & Vinegar to taste (Go easy on these, too many commercial sauces are way too salty and sour. Aji Lemon (or your own peppers) blanched in boiling water for 30 seconds (Cut top off after the bath). Slice the peppers (use the whole pepper, seeds and all) until they are tiny pieces (use a knife and fork-no skin contact). I found 2 Aji Lemons were more than enough for a mildish/sweetish initial taste and a slow steady burn thereafter.
Why buy commercial sauce-make your own.

Warning, I used too much garlic, so if you try this, use one normal garlic clove and mince it up really fine. It's good but strong and stinky!

Aji lemon pepper seeds. I've got a lot of seeds. You can see the picture in this thread. All the people at work who like hot peppers loved these. They said they weren't hot (too hot for me!) but had a great fruity taste. Excellent growers, easy and lots of fruit, right up to hard frost. Free and free postage. PM me your address. (Don't forget to do this, I'm not psychic and can't guess your addresses.)

Good for you. Mine grew vigorously all summer. I brought my peppers inside to overwinter and the p38 was one of the two that did not appreciate being overwintered and perrished.

My apologies, this is a late addition to this thread. This is the time of year I put together my seed list and I usually submit an order to Richters (just N of Toronto. Richters sells about twenty different types of hot peppers as well as plugs (juvenile plants). They have ghost peppers and others in excess of 1 mill Sc units? I'd be afraid to even touch those seeds! Web site for Richters: www.richters.com/

I have probably jumped the gun but i started my seed already. They are in a humidity dome. Plus i have 3 (orange hab, ghost, and Carolina reaper) that i was able to over winter. They are all actually still growing very slowly.

Not sure how hot these will be with the cool summer we've had but hoping for the best.
