The stretch marks are so cool, like a painting on the peppers, with each pattern unique.

My pepper plant is as big as a bush now. It got blown over in the storm How big are the pods on your Aji Lemon pepper plant Lloyd? Any pics of the plant. Hopefully they will begin to ripen soon and in the end will have been worth the wait. dvg

The biggest ones are about the size of my index finger. They are still green. A few un-ripe ones fell off and we ate some last night, medium hot but not much flavour yet.

Here's my crazy big Aji Lemon. Just ate a few unripe ones that fell off when the plant blew over in the storm. Pretty hot!

WoW! That's an impressive looking pepper plant Lloyd. What size pot do you have it growing in? I have mine in a 5 gallon pot. You should be getting ripe peppers on your plant soon, if you haven't already had some ripen. If some green peppers fall off your plant, you can get them to ripen quickly if the green peppers are placed in a paper bag with a couple apples and even a banana. The apples emit ethylene gases, which help to quicken the ripening process with the peppers. dvg

Hi lloyd - Pretty soon here you'll be able to trim that hedge into a nice topiary. Remember elephants are a classic shape.

It's in a 14" pot, maybe 2-3 gallons? I do fertilize it with tomato fertilizer and magnesium sulphate.

Lloyd, I have a bunch of 13 or 14 inch pots and they are 15 quart pots...it usually gives the pot's volume on the bottom of the pot. What is the N-P-K percentage of your tomato fertilizer. This year and last, I used a granular 4-6-8 fertilizer for my peppers. Here is a ripening jigsaw pepper from earlier today. The black cardboard threw off the coloring of the above pic, so here is another pic of the same pepper. dvg

I lost the label, it's the standard tomato fertilizer you see all over, a red granular one. I must have dozens and dozens but they aren't turning yellow. They are finger sized. How long does it take? They are maybe turning a lighter green.
The pot is fairly standard, maybe a foot high.

I just checked my Aji Lemon's and I found 3 that were ripening but they are turning a more orange than yellow. The particular ones are on the inside of the bush so they are shaded. Could the orange rather than yellow be due to being shaded or maybe some hybridizing from the "true" Aji Lemon?
