Just curious if anyone here has had any success with U. campbelliana, and especially if they were able able to germinate it and grow it from seed?
It's an epiphytic plant from what i've read and prefers a 10 degree drop in temps in order to get good germination.
I'm thinking of ordering some seed of this plant and would like to hear other's experience with germinating and/or growing this bladderwort species.

I'd like to try this species. I've never had any success with growing utrics from seeds (except for calycifida and subulata which are weedy). I may have tried this one before from Lowrey.

I can see the attraction...a very sexy plant with great flowers! Some growers have reported their successes with growing this plant from seed, so in theory it can be done. If i am able to obtain said seed and then have some success with it Lloyd, i'll definitely let you know what my methods were with this one. dvg

There are a few neat utrics that I would love to try but they have eluded me. Like arnhemica which has fizzled out on me for the second time. I would definitely be interested in any success you have with this one.

Today i received the U. campbelliana seeds from CZ Plants.
The seeds, were placed on damp cotton balls and covered with clear plastic, in order to keep humidity up and to let light in.
Hopefully a few of these tiny seeds will germinate over the next month or so.

Goodluck with the utric seeds dvg. Ive recently started a liking to utrics.
Ive been wondering this for a while; how much does it cost to have seeds shipped from CZ?

I hope the seeds germinate. Let us know. I'd like to see pictures of the seeds if they aren't too teeny.

Drew, it depends on how much you are having shipped and how fast you want it, but generally speaking, they are quite reasonable. I hope the seeds germinate. Let us know. I'd like to see pictures of the seeds if they aren't too teeny. U. campbelliana seed pack Nov. 8, 2011 CZ Plants. These seeds are teeny. They're even smaller than mexi-ping seeds. Here's one of the seeds on a damp cotton ball. dvg

Though not my picture, here is a photo of some U. campbelliana seeds just beginning to germinate. This is one of Tobias Kulig's pics from his thread about germinating this species. U. campbelliana germination linkSince this fellow has had success with this method, i'll try to follow his lead with germinating these seeds. dvg

Hi Doug - Any luck germinating your seeds? Sorry for dredging up old threads today, but I'm on a utric kick.
