Hey guys,
I finally got some VFT's to flower! I'm really happy, I've just started pollinating the first flowers. Anyways, I was hoping that someone would be able to give me a rough idea of how long it takes for the seed pods to ripen. I thought it's getting a little late in the summer, and wanted to make sure they would mature before fall set in. Thanks in advance!

It should take about six weeks for the pods to ripen and crack, revealing 20 to 30 shiny black seeds if you were fortunate enough to get a good seed set.

Hi Quatchi,
I cannot answer your question. Sorry.
What I want to share is my last year experience with VFT pollination. That is, you must pollinate the flower until there seems to be a little liquid on the stigma (it can come after the first flower lost it's pollen). Last year, I've not done so ...
Any way, if you miss your pollination (no pod after the flower is withered) you can always put the flower stalk in water (2 inches pieces). It has work for me.

My VFT's are outside and get pollinated by nature. Keep an eye on the pods, when they are dry they are ready.
