My VFT came with directions to cut off emerging bloom stalks from my VFT, is this true? will blooming kill my plant?

unless you REALLY want to see the flower and get some seeds, I prefer you cut if off. They do have possibilities of death if they weren't getting enough care :/

Pretty much anything that you don't grow for the flowers can be cut when they start to flower. Most people even cut off jewel orchid spikes when they start because the flowers are pointless in the overall goal of growing the plant.

Unless you want seed, you cut off the flower stalk. If you don't, the plant puts its energy into the flower instead of the rhizome it grows from.
