At this point, my guess is that it will grow up and be a normal flytrap, but it could stay small like it is now forever.

Amazing what a plant in stress / change will do Well, the plant isn't really stressed at all. It's simply been growing conditions that are WAY better than anything it would experience naturally. So my guess is that it figured it had enough surplus energy to try flowering.

Most of my VFT's from TC stay small until they are put outside in full sun and extremes of temperature where they rapidly normalize.

The ones I've deflasked stay pretty much the same size until they grow roots and they they take off growing. I mean really take off! Some plants that I grew from seed started in March are already producing 1.5" traps and they are huge plants. They've only been deflasked since September and have been under lights the whole time. Very nice! May I ask, how old is that plant (not actual age because it was in TC, the equivalent age to a seed-grown plant)? That's very awesome, hehe. Oh, it was only in TC for a month before its flask got contaminated and I had to pull it out. I don't know how to estimate the equivalent age of a seed-grown plant. This guy and all the ones that came out with him are about the same size as my 1 year old VFTs. So it may be equivalent to a 1 year old?

I've been growing mine from TC in pure LFS inside and when I put them outside it's peat/perlite, so maybe that's the difference. They sure are ultraminiature until they hit the outside world.

Many of the plants I take out of TC are fairly small, but I'd say the majority of them are at least average sized VFTs.

Occasionally my TC VFT's fill the jar. Even when they do, the petiole and leaf are at most 2-3 cm. long. Most often they are mixed up clumps of rhizomes and multiple small shoots that I separate and plant in LFS. They grow into super-miniature little VFT's, often with very good colour but small. They very slowly get bigger until as I said, I put them outside and they take off.

TC grade agar, 1/3-1/2 MS, PPM 0.1%, MS Vits full strength, Casein 10 mg./100cc, epibrassinolide 5 ppb., Sugar 3%, distilled water, Vinegar +/- baking soda to pH 5.9.

How do you manage to measure out the five parts per billion of that epi? I'm guessing that you must have much steadier hands and better eyesight than the average man.

I made a scale that can measure down to about 10 mcg. I moved a dustlike particle of epibrassinolide that fell onto my desk, then I got it onto the scale. It weighed 420 mcg. So I diluted it in 50 cc which comes to 8 mcg/cc. Then 0.1 cc is somewhere around 5 ppb. in 100 cc of medium. Easy-peasy.
