Do the atypical varieties of capensis stay smaller? I think I read that on wikipedia, so /i was thinking I'd go with those ones...
Sorry for all the questions.

don't apologize for asking questions haha if none of us never asked any questions, we wouldn't have any answers for you, right?? In my experience, "typical" capensis gets big enough, with the red ones staying a bit smaller. The "alba" never seemd much different in size from the "typical" ones Never grew a "giant" but I'd think they'd be bigger no?? Hope that helps

I grow 6 varieties, 'alba', 'all - red', and 'thin-leaf' are all around the same size. 'Wide - leaf' (typical form in the wild) is slightly larger. The Giant form is about double the size of 'alba'. The mini red is about half size of an 'alba'. This form also has a winter dormancy.

Brian, for a guy who has been looking for a large glass vessel, that is a nice find...large and relatively inexpensive. If that isn't big enough, you might have to join your local glass blower's guild.
