all my temperates are in sandwich ziplock bags, individually separated as to make sure that if i have an outbreak of mold or other bad stuff. i look up on them every month and so far so good, so long as they don`t freeze, all is well. they theoretically don`t need light cause they should be covered with dead leaves and snow in their natural environment.

They both were in fine shape and the note said 4 more weeks of dormancy. I've placed them in a cold basement window, backed up with some Styrofoam insulation to keep the cool in. It stays at about 4-8C and 60% humidity, depending on the outside temp. They are in their pots, sitting in trays of water. When I got the plants they were green or purple and looked alive. After a week in this cold, the pitchers first closed up and are now crinkling and drying out. I assume that's normal for dormancy? How do I get them out of dormancy? Just move them outside in April when it starts to warm up?

The brown leaves are Ok. They will come out of dormancy on their own. When they do, put them out in the sun but protect them from frosts if they we're indoor all winter.
