the way my bog is set up, it's easy for me to pump out water from the bottom. Got me thinking... If my bog is peat based and rain watered, would the resulting water pumped off be good substitute for when rain water is inaccessable? ie frozen suppose water test would be a good idea hehe Sib

If the water is used in a closed system, the dissolved salts may build up with time and evaporation.

thought you'd beable to shed some light hehe. It's semi closed as all winter i've been pumping the bottom water out. to try and prevent it from being underwater all winter/an ice cube :S Thanks Sib
