I'm not the expert, I've only had it work once. When I do it, I pull the flower apart (carefully), then pluck the anther with a fine forceps and gently rub it on the stigma. Sometimes I see little grains on the stigma afterwards. The pollen is not that obvious sometimes.

Bonjour just some information - a lot of ping are calcareous(even gypsophilous ) ( temperate, caraibes, mexican) ,peat is not advisable for all their cultivation except some special temperate and mexican species . - for temperate no problem with a wet substrate, with the mexican more difficult :the rupicoles can not stand, just a slight humidity of the substrate by capillarity, and still more especially when they are dormant from October to May ,especially for filiforme except P.moctezumae . then a P.vulgaris does not grow as a P.gypsicola Also in a first step before cultivating the ping, look for their 'in situ' growth condition ,or ask the question on this forum we will answer it. Bizarre this pollen story, have you dissect a flower to see if really it is absent? jeff

These trays look AMAZING! You should try making a ping wall. I thought about it once but don't really have enough pings 😂 you could make a background with spray foam and cut out slots to fill with a bit of stuff to anchor the Pings. My only worry would be the spray foam is not good for the plants. But I don't know. Anyways, those trays look great. Thanks so much for sharing.

That'd be great, but my home is really small so I don't have any where to put a ping wall! Housing has been an issue here for me lately, small place and landlord is hard to deal with.

Make a Ping wall and invite your landlord in. Then let nature take its course.
