Personally I would hit a reptile/terrarium store and get some springtails to put with it. Very small (but can jump far enough to be called springtails) which are janitors in a terrarium. They stay mostly in the moist soil daytime and will appreciate that move.

My two cents for the next time. Try yo use a more robust paper type (I like coffee paper). I usually add 1 tea spoon of peroxyde to 1 cup of water to prevent mold. Put a smaller amount of water (I usually press the paper to remove any excess without touching it with your fingers). Put the paper in a ziplock then add a few drop of the water mixture in the bag. Close the bag with an amount of air inside so that one of the filter face don't touch the plastic.
