Im just trying to figure out how often I should be feeding my Capensis. Am I feeding it to much or to little or just enough. the reason im asking, is because im finding so many different suggestions, some say every 2 weeks, some say every month and some say a couple times a year.
So I feed my capensis approximately every five days. I figured that may be way to much, as im feeding a minimum of two leaves at a time. But the thing is, I snipped the old flower stalk three weeks ago, and its already got another one on the way that's about 3 inches tall.
The other thing I noticed, is the plant seems to be going through a lot of leaves. its shooting a new leaf out every two days or so but dropping one at the same time.
Id appreciate any input. I have it sitting in about an inch of water at all times and have it about 10 inches away from my lights. Oh and, one more quick question, Should I be using 2x 6500k t8's or 1x 6500 and 1x 4700. because right now im running one of each.
Thanks again.

The general rule for me is that when a leaf is dewy, it can eat more. Sounds like you are doing great with your plant! The once a month feeding is a minimum for most sundew, once every 2 weeks is a good feeding rate. Well established plants can last up to 2 years without feeding under good conditions though. Willy

I feed my drosera once or twice per leaf depending on the size. I don't do that one every 2 weeks thing I like to think each leaf is a mouth to be feed

the more you feed, the faster it grows!

Okay. Great. And what about the lighting situation. What do you think?
